Please find our booking policy terms and conditions below. Before booking a class with us, it’s important to have read these terms and conditions. By purchasing a workshop, you agree to these terms and conditions.
1. Acceptance of terms and conditions
1.1 These terms and conditions apply to all bookings for public workshops, private workshops, one to one sessions, and pottery hire bookings. By purchasing a workshop through our website, you agree to these terms and conditions.
2. Cancellation/Amendment Policy
2.1 If you do need to cancel, change or reschedule your booking for any reason at all, please give us at least eight days prior notice in writing via email to hello@umber-works.com
This means, if your workshop is on a Wednesday evening at 7pm, you would need to let us know by 7pm on Tuesday the week prior, to give us every opportunity to fill your place.
2.2 For cancellations notified eight days in advance of your workshop, we are more than happy to refund you in full or move your booking to a future date of your choosing.
2.3 For cancellations with less than seven days notice, we regretfully cannot offer refunds or amendments, however your place will always remain yours and you are welcome to gift it to a friend or family member, so they can attend the workshop in your place.
3. Payment
3.1 Payment through our website is made via our secure check out pages using secure payment service provider Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. The Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd is PCI compliant. PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
While we know lives are busy and complicated, and sometimes things beyond your control happen, we gently remind you that, as a small studio, last minute cancellations or requests to swap sessions very much affect us –– as we always strive to hold small and intimate classes that offer you as much 1:1 attention as possible. As much as we would love to, we unfortunately cannot offer exceptions to our booking policy and are so grateful for your understanding and your not pressuring us to do so.
Gift Card Policy
Please find our gift voucher policy terms and conditions below. Before purchasing a gift voucher with us, it’s important to have read these terms and conditions. By purchasing a gift voucher, you agree to these terms and conditions.
1. Acceptance of terms and conditions
1.1 These terms and conditions apply to all gift voucher purchases through our website and in person. By purchasing a workshop through our website, you agree to these terms and conditions.
2. Gift Voucher Policy
2.1 Our gift vouchers are the opportunity to share the gift of a session in the studio – learning to work with clay - with someone you love.
2.2 All gift vouchers are non-refundable without exception and are valid for three months from the date of purchase for all gift vouchers purchased after 01.01.2024 (and six months of purchase for all vouchers purchased until 31.12.2023). After three months from the date of purchase for gift cards purchased in 2024 (or six months from the date of purchase for gift cards purchased in 2023), any balance remaining on your gift voucher will automatically expire and we are unable to reinstate it.
2.3 It is important to note that a gift card is strictly not a guarantee of a place on a particular type workshop but is rather a gifted amount to spend on any available workshop or product across the website during the validity period. Whilst we endeavour to offer a numerous workshop types, dates, and timings across the year, we cannot guarantee that a particular workshop will be available, nor that places will be available for you to book, particularly on popular workshops with large waiting lists. Should a particular workshop you hoped to book with your gift voucher be sold out or unavailable, or the timings not align with your schedule, we are regrettably unable to extend your voucher and we appreciate you not pressuring us to do so. We advise booking a place on a different workshop during the validity window.
2.3 It is the responsibility of the recipient to ensure they redeem their gift voucher before the balance expires. We are regrettably unable to reinstate any unspent balance on the gift card after it expires.
2.4 Please note, our booking policy applies to all workshops paid for via gift vouchers in part or in full.
